Introduction
It is a short generated animation projected onto 3D triangular structure. All the generated patterns are randomized in a way. The animation has 3 scenes:
1. Four Circles are generated every half second with random velovity, color, radius. All the circles simulate physical behaviour which means they collide with borders.
2. One color palette is generated every half second with random colors and number of colums and rows.
3. Perlin noise pixels.
Concept and background research
Use randomness to explore generative art.
Technical
Scene 1: Set if statements to make circles come back and forth when they collide with boeders.
Scene 2: Generate random color palette each interation with different number of colums and rows.
Scene 3: Map perlin noise values into hue values and assign that values into pixels;
Future development
1. Audiovisual interactive
2. Interacts with physical world
Self evaluation
It is a group project in a way as eight people use the same 3D structure to display their works. And it is my first time to be involved into an exhibition and work with people. From the exhibition I learned there was possibility for you do extra works in order to make everyone's work look s as perfect as it looks in the computers. Our group had to find a uniform way to adjusted the vertices manually so that everyone's animation would be displayed on 3D structure accurately. I would like to thank Becky as she collected our programmes and make them running continuously on her laptop; Managed to do live adjusting work in the darkened room so that rest people could adjust their vertices later on their own laptops; Made video recording for everyone.Thank you Becky!
