Overlap: Degree Show 2017
(please note: This event has now passed. If you'd like to see a list of the projects that our talented 2016-17 cohort produced for their show click here.)
Goldsmiths College invites you to OVERLAP, an exhibition of the exciting new wave of computational art that seeks to engage with the ever evolving technology around us. The weekend-long exhibition is the graduation show for the MFA/MA Computational Arts programme. It features ground-breaking works by mixed disciplinary artists from fields as diverse as fine art, dance, photography, puppetry, sound art, and architecture.
The Private View opens at 18:00pm on Thursday 7th September and the exhibition continues on Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th. The exhibition will be held in the St James Hatcham Building - a deconsecrated church on the Goldsmiths University campus in New Cross.
In the words of Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Andrew Shoben: "Since its inception, this group of talent has produced work that is consistently fresh and exciting - creating art which finds focus in a diverse range of areas, making this one of the must see shows of the year. Miss it at your peril."
Spread over two floors, works will range from live performances, to interactive audiovisual installations, to new formulations of printmaking and biometric analysis. More information can be found at the following link: overlap.show
