A simplistic physical emulation of a domestic cat inside a compact cardboard box. I aim to relax the user as they touch it. The final piece is carefully tuned to emulate real animal processes (breathing, purring, warmth) which the user already understands, leaning on their ingrained sub-conscious understandings to momentarily believe the object to be alive.
It represents a mental image from my childhood, when I built a playhouse out of cardboard boxes for my two black cats, and I watched them sleep peacefully inside.
